Scraps and Stories

A collection of mixed-media collage artworks that brings together digital composition and the wonderfully imperfect remnants of my creative process. Studio ephemera, paper scraps, painted fragments, colour tests, textures, marks and found details find new life alongside digital imagery, layered elements and unexpected juxtapositions.

I love the stories held within these little fragments, the brushstroke left behind, the paper that wasn't quite right for one artwork but becomes perfect for another, the colours that meet by accident, and the textures that carry traces of the hands that made them.

These works are a celebration of experimentation, resourcefulness and creative freedom. They remind me that beauty doesn't always emerge from a blank canvas or a perfectly planned idea. Sometimes it begins with what is left over, what has been overlooked, or what we might otherwise have thrown away.
