The Atlantis Within. Surrealist Underwater Art

The Atlantis Within is a surrealist underwater artwork depicting a sleeping girl holding a white teddy bear, surrounded by aquatic plants and vivid red fish. Blending surrealism, dark fantasy, and ethereal feminine imagery, this artwork explores the hidden world within us — a place shaped by memory, tenderness, imagination, and the need for safety. The teddy bear evokes childhood comfort and the feeling of being held by familiar memories, while the underwater setting suggests a quiet inner world beyond the noise of everyday life. With its monochromatic black-and-white palette, striking red accents, and gothic fairytale aesthetic, this piece brings together surrealist art, underwater fantasy, and symbolic imagery.
