“I create characters out of feelings I can't always put into words. Through distorted identities, strange environments, and familiar emotions, I explore what it means to be human when nothing feels quite right.”

SolPersonaMelih Kara, also known as meli, is a digital artist and visual designer based in Ankara, Türkiye. His work explores identity, emotional tension, anxiety, transformation, and the complicated relationship we have with ourselves. Working primarily through digital illustration, he creates character-driven compositions that combine bold colors, expressive forms, and surreal imagery. His figures often inhabit strange yet familiar situations, reflecting the internal conflicts, vulnerabilities, and contradictions of everyday life. With a background in Visual Communication Design, Melih approaches each piece as a form of visual storytelling. Rather than providing clear answers, he creates images that leave room for personal interpretation, allowing viewers to discover fragments of their own experiences within his work. His artistic practice is deeply influenced by personal experiences, particularly the ways people adapt, disconnect, rebuild, and rediscover themselves. Through recurring themes of uncertainty, isolation, and self-discovery, he seeks to give physical form to emotions that are often difficult to express. His work has been featured in international exhibitions and digital art events, including NFT.NYC, Lisbon, Tokyo, Chicago, and Romania.
